10 on 10/10/10 Updates: #7 and #8

I'm afraid today's update is a bit of a downer -- I didn't technically accomplish either of my goals, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to tell you about it.

Here's the one that I want to do more than anything in the world, but which I simply couldn't do:

#7 get 10 hours of sleep a night for 10 nights in a row (16)

I'm still at the mercy of a certain baby's sleep schedule (or rather, lack thereof) but I've decided to go to bed for 10 days at a time that would technically afford me ten hours of uninterrupted sleep. That would be 9 pm.


This better be good.

Oh, just the thought of ten hours of sleep for ten days! The impossible dream, is what it is. This was supposed to be the one I was going to start with, and I tried, I really did, but insomnia caused by, well, you know, made it impossible. And then the baby started teething, and then I resented having a 9 pm bedtime. Even though I imposed it on myself. 

Goals are weird.

But this one will be revisited, because it needs to be.

#8 learn to use my DSLR (18)

The For Dummies people gave me this book, so maybe I'll finally figure out what the heck aperture is. 

I still don't know what aperture is. But I still have the book, and I still take photos almost every day. 

This one will be revisited as well.
