Dichotomy

I am not one for modernizing holidays -- I like my Christmas as traditional as possible, thank-you-very-much -- and I'm not one to go crazy with artistic pumpkin carving.

I like my Jack-o-Lanterns to looks like they could be on top of Ichabod Crane's headless horseman. Simple.

Then, of course, traditional me took pictures of her family's hand-carved pumpkins with her smartphone, posted them on Instagram and emailed them all over the world, posted them on Facebook and on this here blog.

I am nothing if not a contradiction.

(Happy Halloween!)
