Make Yourself: Results Are Not Always What They Seem

If there is one thing I've learned from this experience (I'm working with Nike and their Nike Training Club app) is that I'm a bigger couch potato than I ever thought I was.

Actually, make that "was a bigger couch potato" -- because I'm starting to like working out. In fact, I miss it on the days I can't make it.

Trust me, I'm nowhere near being a gym rat -- not by far -- but I'm seeing results, and they're really motivating.

It's just that the motivating part isn't what I expected.

Sure, I've lost 1.5 inches around my waist (no small feat considering my diastasis recti) and 3 pounds -- and don't get me wrong, that's pretty awesome right there -- but what really makes me crave exercise is the way it makes me feel.

I feel stronger. I sleep better. I have more energy. That's what I call Making Yourself.
