The weekend of napping delirously

I took a three hour nap on Saturday. I did the same thing on Sunday. Today I feel like I can conquer the world.

I believe these things are related.

I also learned a few things.

  1. The world does not need me to be awake at every moment in order to keep on moving. It's OK to disconnect. Really.

  2. Those horrible, no good problems that seem insurmountable when tired seem decidedly less so when you're rested. Funny how that works.

  3. This means I probably shouldn't make any decisions when I'm not well-rested.

  4. I don't care about the internet when I'm rested. I mean, I love you and everything, but so what if Facebook has changed for the worst? (Again.) SMALL BEANS.

  5. A weekend of sleeping does indeed make you look ten years younger -- whatever that means. I don't know how you measure it, but it looks good on you.

  6. I feel like I can move a mountain.  In fact, I think I will.

Sleeping isn't easy for me; I fight sleep like an overtired toddler. I always think that if I could do just one more thing, everything will be OK. Turns out the opposite is true.

Sleep. I needs it. Do you?
