California Dreaming: Mighty Summit

I woke up to a grey sky to catch a flight to San Francisco. Not surprisingly, I can't get "California Dreaming" out of my head.

I'm leaving rainy Massachusetts and heading out to California to attend the Mighty Summit. Please don't ask me what it's about exactly, because the truth is I don't know yet. I do know that it's in Napa Valley, and that we've been promised S'mores. That's two big reasons to go, right there.

There will be other people there, of course. Brilliant, creative, and smart people. I can't wait to meet them -- how could I not? Every single one of these women is both a wild dreamer and an accomplished doer. It's an intoxicating mix, and I am honored to spend a few days among them.

I know I'm going to learn so much from them -- only problem is I'm not sure what I can teach these ladies. Maybe Spanish? That's useful, right?

The other three big reasons for going are our hostesses, whom I got to meet (however briefly) at Blogher in NYC. I wouldn't fly clear accross the country for just anyone, but these ladies sure know how to throw a party. I know we're in good hands.

Here's hoping you have a fabulous weekend as well,
